International Project Manager – New Plant projects and Standardization
About the role
We are looking for an International Project Manager – New Plant projects and Standardization to oversee the operational management of the start-up project for our Spanish site, ROSI Energy Iberia (REI), located in La Puebla de Híjar (Teruel region). As the company continues to develop its industrial operations, the successful candidate will also contribute to structuring the Group’s Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) model and defining the technical specifications for our standard production line.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Group Industrial Director, you will work across the entire lifecycle of the REI project, from permitting and supplier selection through to the launch of the first batches and operational implementation on site. Your two objectives are to keep the project on budget and on schedule, and to leverage lessons learned to optimize future industrial rollouts.
1. Lead the deployment of the REI industrial project in Spain
Working closely with the head-office Engineering teams in Seyssins (Isère, 38, France) and the local teams in Spain, you will manage the project’s day-to-day execution and coordinate the various work packages.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Manage the project schedule: develop and update the detailed schedule, track engineering, permitting, investment, procurement, construction and commissioning milestones, and coordinate progress across the different work packages with their leads.
- Anticipate risks and control deviations: analyze project risks, identify cost and schedule variances, raise alerts, manage corrective actions and replan the project as needed.
- Manage interfaces between work packages: coordinate interdependencies and facilitate decision-making at interfaces to safeguard the overall project.
- Challenge costs and schedules: work with technical teams and suppliers to secure commitments and meet the defined objectives.
- Monitor financial performance: manage CAPEX, commitments, expenditure and cash-out forecasts in coordination with the Finance team, and provide regular reporting to the Industrial Director.
2. Develop the Group TCO model and technical specifications for our standard industrial line
In parallel, you will coordinate the development of a technical and economic reference framework to make our cost and schedule assumptions more reliable and facilitate future industrial rollouts.
Working with the technical, finance and sales teams, you will:
- Leverage lessons learned from completed and ongoing projects to identify variances, areas for improvement and best practices.
- Draw on on-site experience at the operating industrial facility in La Mure and the future Spanish site to understand operational constraints and identify technical and organizational solutions that can be replicated.
- Structure and formalize the TCO model by consolidating CAPEX, OPEX, utilities, consumables, maintenance, availability and yields, using documented and updateable assumptions.
- Coordinate the standard line specifications: processes, equipment, interfaces, automation, performance and site-specific variations.
This cross-functional role will help strengthen the technical and economic control of projects and progressively standardize our industrial deployment model.
