In a recent article, Les Echos, France’s leading business daily, presents ROSI’s future recycling line located near La Mure, in Isère.
This plant will be the first capable of recycling high purity silicon from photovoltaic cells, a material considered critical by the European Commission.
Thanks to a €4 million investment from the European Innovation Council and a complementary fundraising in progress, ROSI will be able to create this plant in France and a next one in Germany.
In France, ROSI and its partner Envie 2E Aquitaine have been selected by the eco-organization Soren, in charge of the collection and recycling of solar panels throughout the country. Soren already estimates the need for recycling at 40,000 tons/year in France by 2030.
